Commitment to safety is a core value of Five Star Mechanical. Adherence to safe work practices that provide a safe work environment is not just a statement, it is a deep abiding commitment to our employees, sub-contractors, and clients alike. Safety and health shall be a primary consideration in the design, procurement, installation, use, and maintenance of all company facilities, equipment, tools, supplies, materials, processes, and operations.
At Five Star Mechanical, we continuously look for ways to improve our safety program. In this effort, Five Star employs a Safety Coordinator that is dedicated to the creation and implementation of our safety programs. The Safety Coordinator heads our safety committee as well, which is comprised of front-line technicians, owners of Five Star, departmental supervisors, and our insurance provider. Participation at all levels within the company helps ensure that Five Star is considering all aspects of work on our job sites.
Partners in Safety
Five Star also utilizes outside sources for our safety evaluations. As a member of the National Safety Council, we have access to a nation wide safety library, industry specific safety barometer perception surveys, and many other useful safety tools.
As another external layer of validation and verification of our safety programs, we currently are affiliated with ISNetword, Veriforce, and Avetta safety compliance companies. These independent, third-party safety compliance companies provide audits of our safety policies and procedures for Five Star and our customers. With their vast experience nationwide in industry specific guidelines and safety practices, these auditors are able to validate that Five Star’s safety standards meet or exceed current safety and government requirements.
